Finding Article Blogs

Blogs come in varying degrees of professionalism. They seem to be popping up everywhere, reproducing like mushrooms on a rainy day. Some read like an unedited stream of consciousness journal entry from a teenager. Others are more academic and are practically article blogs. Article is a word that can simply mean a single item. Article blogs are blogs that focus on delivering news or an analysis and criticism of events. This is where things get fun. Depending on your political leanings, you will be able to find article blogs that match your ideology. But do not stop there. Find article blogs that present the opposing viewpoint as well. This will help you anticipate the talking points of other people. But most of all, keep an open mind when engaging on article blogs. I personally use a blog site with php capabilities. This creates a message board feeling which encourages interaction. But with many political article blogs, there are many instances of people resorting to name calling, or mud slinging. Not surprised are you. But what I have found by using these article blogs is that there are also many intelligent people with opposing points of view. I will probably not be able to get some one to always agree with me on these article blogs, but they may see my point of view and be more willing to compromise. What it all boils down to is a matter of taste, which is subjective. Not everyone is going to follow politics on blogs like myself. By the user generated aspect of article blogs can be found on sites for sports and music. You are the analyst, the critic and the pundit. And that is truly a democratic use of the press. Get out there and start looking for different blogs today. In fact, why not start writing one as well?
